Tuition

All workshops and courses taught by a professional instructor with over 30 years industry and teaching experience.  Tuition on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis, (although occassional larger courses are run in conjunction with the Rural Business School  - please contact us for details).  All courses must be paid for in full at time of booking.
 
All safety equipment, consumables and materials provided as part of workshop/course fee (we recommend you bring your own boots!). Please remember that welding and blacksmithing are dangerous - whilst we have rigorous H&S and risk assessments, accidents happen. Our maximum group size is 2 persons to allow for proper supervision. 
 
Basic one day    Introduction to Welding workshop
A popular hands-on and theory introduction to either MIG or ARC welding.  You tell us what you want to learn, and the level you are at, and we will take it from there.  A full 6 hrs tuition with a little paperwork and a lot of practical with a tasty light lunch provided by ourselves.   £80 per person per day. Tuesdays to Saturdays throughout the year.

Welding for Smallholders
This one day workshop is aimed at smallholders and farmers who want to learn to weld in order to do simple repairs and fabrication around their holding.  Repair gates, small trailer repairs and fabrication projects.  Dont be shy ladies - the fairer sex are much neater welders than many men! £80 per day with a tasty light lunch included.  Tuesdays to Saturdays throughout the year.
            
 
 
Basic one day   Introduction to Fabrication workshop
Ideal for the smallholder, this practical course will show you how to alter and make items primarily within a farming or smallholder environment.  Again, we like to know your requirements - after all, its your course!
A full 6 hrs tuition with a tasty light lunch provided by ourselves.  £80 per person per day, with an optional second day at the reduced rate of £60.  Want to bring an item/idea?  Email us with some details.

Trailer Servicing Course
Got a livestock trailer, boat trailer or horsebox?  Want to learn to professionally service this yourself?  This 2 day course will give you all the necessary information and skills and a legal insight to trailers and the law, by a man who built trailers for BP, Conoco, Air2000 amongst others.   Obviously, you will want to work on your own trailer (by arrangement, and if safe and legal to tow on the public road).  Contact us with details when booking.   Light lunch provided both days.  £160 per person.  We are now offering this course in association with the Rural Business School at reduced rates for eligible farmers and smallholders.
